Konami has officially announced Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, though they’re keeping quiet about the games it will feature.
In a chat with Eurogamer, Noriaki Okamura, who’s working on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, briefly mentioned Vol. 2 while discussing the MGS 3 remake. He admitted that the first volume had some problems when it launched, and he promised that they are working hard to make sure the second volume has a better start.
“Of course, we called the first one Vol. 1, so we are making a Vol. 2, that much is for sure,” noted Okamura. “We’re also worried about how Vol. 1 had a pretty rough launch, with all the issues, so we’re going to do everything we can not to repeat that, but we just have to ask for everyone to give us time.”
Okamura didn’t say which games will be in the collection, even though he hinted at Metal Gear Solid 4 last month. Fans, we can only wait and guess. MGS 4 has only been on PlayStation 3 so far. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain were on many consoles and PC. Maybe Vol. 2 will include these, plus the HD version of Peace Walker, which was on PS3 and Xbox 360. But for now, it’s all speculation.
