Lego Fortnite Update Introduces Fishing & Essential New Tool

-

Oh boy, the latest Lego Fortnite mashup just got a whole lot fishier. And I’m not talking about something smelling off. They’ve gone and added fishing to the mix in their newest update, V28.30, cheekily dubbed Gone Fishin’. Now, alongside building forts and dodging bullets, you can chill by a virtual pond and catch some digital fish. Sounds relaxing, right?

But wait, there’s more. It’s not just about throwing a line in the water and hoping for the best. Nope. They’ve introduced four tiers of fishing rods: common, uncommon, rare, and epic. Because, of course, we needed epic fishing rods in our lives. And to snag those new seafood recipes, you’ll need a Cord, Knotroot Rod, Flexwood Rod, and Frostpine Rod. Don’t forget the right crafting bench level, though. Wouldn’t want to miss out on epic fish dishes.

Now, onto the fish themselves. We’ve got 15 new slippery friends spread across various biomes and weather conditions. From Orange Floppers to Molten Spicy Fish, it’s like a whole underwater buffet waiting to be discovered. And with the new Food Processor Station, those fish won’t just be for show. You can turn them into Fish Filets or even a Bait Bucket to create your own fishing spot. Just chuck it into the water, and voila, fish galore.

But hey, it’s not all about the fish. There are some quality-of-life goodies too. Ever got lost wandering the vast Lego Fortnite landscapes? Well, fret no more. The update brings us a Compass to point the way. And for the explorers among us, the Spyglass lets you peek at far-off places without taking a step. Both crafted from the new Glass resource, made from Sand. Because, why not?

And for those who’ve somehow missed it, there’s a video. Yeah, a “LEGO Fortnite – Official Cinematic Reveal Trailer” to get all hyped about. But, uh, make sure your browser can handle it, or it’s no dice. And, of course, there’s the whole “enter your date of birth” deal. Because rules.

So, there you have it. Fishing, new gear, and a bit of navigation help. All wrapped up in the Gone Fishin’ update for Lego Fortnite. Whether you’re here for the battles or just to kick back and fish, it seems there’s something for everyone. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got an epic fishing rod to craft.
