This week, Sega announced that Goro Majima will be the star of the new game, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
During a live-stream today, Sega’s RGG Studio shared a trailer for Prime Video’s Like a Dragon: Yakuza series, revealing that Majima will appear in the show and Munetaka Aoki will play him. Interestingly, Aoki is also voicing Majima in the game. The action-packed trailer doesn’t give much away about the story but introduces Majima along with Kazuma Kiryu (Ryoma Takeuchi) and Akira Nishikiyama (Kento Kaku).
In the series, Kiryu, a former Yakuza, gets pulled back into his old clan’s world and reconnects with his childhood friend Nishikiyama. Flashbacks will show how Kiryu’s past actions influence his current life and relationships.
Prime Video hasn’t shared the full cast list yet, even though the series premieres on October 24. The game, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, will come out on February 28, 2025.
Fans are excited to see how these characters come to life on screen.
Sometimes, we wonder if the game will be as exciting as the series!
