Mai Shiranui Displays Moves in Street Fighter 6 Teaser

-

In 2019, many fans wanted Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury to be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but she didn’t make it in because Masahiro Sakurai said the game is for “good boys and girls of many different ages.”

Instead, Mai is set to join Street Fighter 6 next year, and there’s a new teaser showing off her moves. In the video, Mai cheekily calls herself “a good girl” while teaching a newbie fighter on her Fatal Fury 2 stage. But their lesson is cut short when some sneaky ninjas show up to cause trouble. Mai, being the skilled fighter she is, quickly takes care of them with her swift moves.

She previously appeared in the mobile game Doomsday: Last Survivors earlier this year, but Street Fighter 6 will mark her first return to battle with Capcom’s characters since the 2003 game SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos. Earlier this year, Terry Bogard, another hero from Fatal Fury, also joined Street Fighter 6.

It’s exciting to see Terry and Mai back together in the upcoming game Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves. This will be the series’ first sequel in a quarter-century, and aside from the usual fighting matches, it’ll include a single-player RPG mode. The game is set to release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on April 25, 2025.

Fans are thrilled to see these characters back in action.
