Marvel Rivals just hit the shelves for PC, PS5, and Xbox, letting people battle their pals or random folks online with cross-play magic.
Right now, players can’t carry their progress across different systems because there’s no cross-progression feature. This means your achievements on one console won’t appear on another. The team at NetEase Games is aware that players want this feature, and they’re working on it, though it’s a bit tricky for a game like Marvel Rivals. “Cross-progression involves a lot of platform-specific rules [and] we’re still looking at it and how to solve it,” said Marvel Rivals creative director Guangyun “Guangguang” Chen, as reported by Dot Esports. “Once the team is ready, once we’ve figured it out, we’ll be sharing to everyone and players will be the first to know.”
We always hope for new features to arrive quickly, don’t we?
It took forever—about four years—for Apex Legends to get this feature, but fingers crossed Marvel Rivals won’t take as long. Oh, and heads up! A fun event focused on Jeff is kicking off on December 20 as part of the Winter Celebration. Plus, Marvel just launched a fresh digital comic series on the Marvel Unlimited app this past Monday.
