Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater had a new trailer at the Tokyo Games Show.
With the recent release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, many fans might still remember the twists and turns of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Now, it feels like history is repeating itself as we gear up for the remake. The trailer mostly skips gameplay and dives straight into the story.
We see Naked Snake, who becomes Big Boss, sneaking into Soviet territory to rescue Sokolov, the scientist behind the Shagohod, a nuclear tank that predates other Metal Gears. The trailer shows his first run-in with Ocelot and a peek at the Cobra Unit. But what grabs attention is the betrayal by his mentor, The Boss, who defects to Volgin’s side, shaking things up for Snake as Volgin sets off a nuke, complicating Snake’s mission even more.
Fans, we always love a good twist, don’t we?
At the end of the trailer, Snake meets Eva, the double agent who will be his only trustworthy ally. Voice actors from the original game are back, including David Hayter as Naked Snake and Lori Alan as The Boss. Other familiar voices return as well: Michael Bell, Richard Doyle, J. Grant Albrecht, Neil Ross, and Suzetta Miñet.
The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is still under wraps, but it will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
