Microsoft has been trialing a new version of Xbox Game Pass, allowing members to share their Game Pass Ultimate benefits with up to five people through a friends-and-family-style plan. The test preview has now come to an end, but the plan may come back in the future. According to a spokesperson, Microsoft is “excited about” the Friends and Family plan’s reception and will evaluate the test results to develop “an offer that we can bring to more players worldwide in the future.”

Xbox Game Pass is a popular gaming subscription service, providing access to a wide variety of new games each month, day-one releases for Xbox exclusives, and numerous titles from the EA Play library. If the Activision Blizzard deal is approved, Microsoft plans to add games such as Overwatch, Diablo, and Call of Duty to its library.
Microsoft recently increased the price of Game Pass to $11/month for the standard offering and $17/month for Game Pass Ultimate.
