Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 19.
This new version lets players fly across the globe with over 65 planes and 150 airports. For those with Game Pass Ultimate, the game will be available right away, though a physical edition isn’t planned. However, there are special bundles with collectibles. The Premium Deluxe Edition, priced at $130, offers lots of extras and a big steelbook case.
If you want all the aircraft and airports, the Premium Deluxe Edition is the best option. This set includes a “jumbo” steelbook, a pilot’s lanyard, a developer’s note, and a digital code for the game. It boasts 95 aircraft and 160 airports, which is 25 more planes and 10 more airports than the standard edition.
Interestingly, the oversized steelbook case might become standard for Xbox first-party games. For example, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle’s Premium and Collector’s Editions also feature this type of steelbook. You can preorder these for Xbox or Steam at Walmart. The easiest way to experience Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 without the extra items is through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. You can get three-month vouchers for $45 or one-month codes for $17 on Amazon. This is cheaper than buying directly from Microsoft, which costs $60 for three months or $20 for one month.
Besides the Premium Deluxe Edition, Microsoft is releasing other versions of Flight Simulator 2024. There’s the Aviator Edition, limited to 5,000 copies, and the super rare Limited Collector’s Edition, with only 400 copies. To reserve any of these, visit the Flight Simulator Store.
