Microsoft Unveils Xbox Adaptive Joystick

-

Gamescom brought a lot of excitement with new game trailers and reveals, but the standout for many was the new Xbox Adaptive Joystick.

According to the Xbox official site, this new controller is made for gamers who have trouble with regular controllers. It has four normal buttons and two extra ones for bumper and trigger actions. The joystick part can be customized, and Microsoft even made different thumbsticks that can be 3D printed. One cool option lets players use their chin if they can’t use their hands.

During Gamescom’s live stream, Kaitlyn Jones from Xbox mentioned to the Verge that they worked with disabled gamers to test the joystick. Their feedback was used to improve the design and decide the price. Plus, Microsoft introduced the Lite SE controller from 8BitDo, giving disabled gamers even more choices.

We are so happy to see such inclusive gaming gear!

The Xbox Adaptive Joystick will be priced at $30 and will come out early next year. Meanwhile, you can already buy the Lite SE controller from 8BitDo on Amazon for $60. There’s also an Xbox Adaptive Controller available at Best Buy.
