Maui from Moana is now zooming into Disney Speedstorm as a racer you can play.
In the game, Maui shows up with a cool racing suit and a themed car, and he’s got some nifty tricks up his sleeve. As a Trickster, Maui has more Boost than others, and he can get nitro fuel by drifting. Maui’s special move, Hero to All, is quite unique. With it, he can use his magical fishhook to make a big boom or turn into a hawk to dodge and speed past other racers.
Maui will start racing on Wednesday, December 18, and they hinted that Moana will join soon, too, with her own new look and vehicle. But her skills are still a mystery for now.
Disney Speedstorm is a kart racing game with characters from all sorts of Disney stories. You can see folks like Mickey Mouse, Elsa from Frozen, Woody from Toy Story, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, and even some of the Muppets driving around. Each month, new characters join in, and right now, you can race with five heroes from The Incredibles: Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Violet, Dash, and Frozone.
