Monster Hunter Wilds Cross-Play Beta Launches Next Week on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S

-

Capcom is getting ready to let gamers try out Monster Hunter Wilds with an open beta on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Players who have PS Plus can jump into the action on October 28, while everyone else, including those on PC and Xbox Series X|S, gets access starting October 31. There’s cross-play, so players from different platforms can team up. If you join the beta, there’s a special pendant waiting for you, which can jazz up your weapons or Seikret mount if you buy the full game. Here’s when you can dive in:

PS5

  • Early access for PS Plus subscribers: October 28 at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET
  • Non PS Plus subscribers: October 31 at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET

Xbox Series X|S

  • October 31 at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET

PC via Steam

  • October 31 at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET

The beta wraps up on November 3 at 6:59 PM PT / 9:59 PM ET. You’ll get to try out three cool things: a Story Trial, a free-roaming hunt called Doshaguma, and the character creator, which lets you carry your custom character to the full game when it’s out.

We think it’s always fun to try something new with friends, don’t you?

The full game is set to release on February 28, 2025. If you’re eager to snag a copy early, preordering the PC version might save you $20. And for those who love collecting stuff, there’s a fancy Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster guitar up for grabs in Japan if you’ve got $2,000 to spare. Oh, and by the way, no Stairway.

Curious about whether your PC can handle Monster Hunter Wilds? Check the official requirements, as some folks are a bit concerned. But many say this might be the perfect time for newcomers to jump into the Monster Hunter world. A fresh trailer is out too, showing off new creatures like the Black Flame from Azuz, the tough Ajarakan, and the Rompopolo, which lurks in oily areas.
