Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
During the PlayStation State of Play, Capcom shared that their next big Monster Hunter game will be available early next year. The announcement came with a fresh trailer that introduced new creatures, including a stingray-like aquatic monster. Fans also got a sneak peek at Arkveld, the main villain. The trailer hinted at gameplay features like using the grappling hook for environmental hazards and the ability to throw barrel bombs for ranged attacks.
One interesting part of the trailer was the Scarlet Forest, where we saw the Wudwuds, a Lynian tribe that has been cut off from the rest of the world. Another cool creature shown was the Quematrice, a brute wyvern in the Windward Plains, known for spraying flammable materials everywhere.
We think the new features look really exciting and can’t wait to try them out.
With Monster Hunter Wilds, the series is evolving with bigger, open hunting zones and more monsters to hunt simultaneously. Plus, the game introduces gender-neutral armor, letting players create stylish armor sets regardless of gender.
