Fortnite’s 2024 Fortnitemares hasn’t been officially revealed yet, but we got a sneak peek from a loading screen in this week’s update.
This screen shows off six new skins arriving in October, with Leatherface and Billy the Puppet leading the spooky lineup. The new skins don’t stop there: a purple Guff, a glowing purple Red Knight, a pumpkin-themed Ultima Knight, a witchy Lexa, and a creepy Marshmello are also coming. Given how Epic has managed recent Icon skins like Ariana Grande and J Balvin, it’s likely this new Marshmello skin is a fresh purchase, not a style update.
Details about Fortnitemares are still a mystery. We usually get at least one map location turned scary and a special gameplay item. According to
, this year’s item might be an exploding Saw puppet on a tricycle.
When will Fortnitemares kick off? We don’t know for sure, but a big clue is a countdown on the map for a live event this Saturday, December 5 at 2pm ET. With a month left in the season, it seems too early for a finale, so maybe Doctor Doom will start Fortnitemares.
Fans are always excited about new skins and events in Fortnite.
Besides the skins we’ve seen, two other collaborations are on the way. Shaquille O’Neal is getting Icon skins this week, and characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sally and the Pumpkin King, are also joining the fun. Collectors, prepare your wallets—October is going to be an expensive month, but at least we have choices!
