Exoprimal supports cross-play matchmaking, but the party system is limited to those within the same platform ecosystem. This means that players can matchmake with anyone on any platform, but can only join a party within specific platform ecosystems.
For day 1, Exoprimal supports cross-platform matchmaking, but party creation will be specific to each platform ecosystem, as follows: Group 1 includes Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows; Group 2 consists of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5; and Group 3 is for Steam.
Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC players can join a party, while PS4 and PS5 users can squad up as well. Cross-play parties are not currently enabled for Steam. Capcom is looking into ways to enable true cross-play parties beyond a platform ecosystem, but acknowledges that “this may take some time.”
Capcom has also recently unveiled Exoprimal’s roadmap, outlining general plans for content through the beginning of 2024. So far, Capcom has confirmed three seasons of post-launch content and has teased plans for additional updates afterward.
