While everyone eagerly waits for the Switch 2, the original Nintendo Switch has become the second top-selling gaming system in the US, trailing only behind the DS. Meanwhile, EA Sports College Football 25 has hit a record as the highest-grossing sports game in US history, even though it hasn’t been out for a full year.
Circana, which used to be NPD, shared these big updates in their November report about video games. Nintendo has sold 46.6 million Switches in the US, which means it’s now past the PS2. And College Football 25? It’s climbed into the top 50 best-selling games ever in the US based on money made.

The video game market in the US saw a 7% drop in November, as per Circana’s findings. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 led the charts and is the second-best-selling game of the year so far, right after College Football 25. Last month, Mario & Luigi: Brothership was the only fresh title to enter the top 10, landing in seventh place.
In the world of gaming hardware, PS5 led the pack in November for both money made and units sold. Interestingly, the PS5 Pro made up 19% of all PS5s sold and brought in 28% of Sony’s earnings from PS5 sales. This is 12% lower than what the PS4 Pro achieved in November 2016 for units sold but over 50% higher in revenue.
Sometimes, we wonder how these games get so popular so fast.
