The latest entry in the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 6, dropped on October 25, bringing a whopping 16 new multiplayer maps to explore.
But hold onto your controllers because the legendary Nuketown map is making a comeback this Friday, November 1. This time, it’s the classic 1950s Nuketown from the original Black Ops 1, even though the game’s campaign unfolds in the ’90s. Treyarch decided to bring back this retro favorite so that new players can experience its iconic charm. Don’t miss the fresh trailer for Nuketown—it’s bound to stir up some nostalgia.
Meanwhile, while the wait for Nuketown is just a few days, you can dive into the thrilling Infected mode in Black Ops 6 starting today. Here’s how it works: one player begins as “infected” and tries to convert the rest, who must survive until time runs out. If everyone gets infected, the match ends. People find this mode super exciting because it feels like a game of tag with a twist.
Fans always seem to love a bit of old-school action mixed with new surprises.
If Nuketown is your jam, there’s more themed fun on the horizon. Black Ops 6 introduces a Strike map called Warhead, reminiscent of Nuketown but set after a bomb test. Later this year, the Season 1 update will bring us a Warzone Resurgence map, Area 99, which reveals where Nuketown’s parts are made—kind of like discovering the origin story of your favorite hero.
