Obsidian Entertainment is gearing up to launch two major RPGs next year, with a fresh trailer for The Outer Worlds 2 unveiled at The Game Awards.
This new teaser emphasizes that, like the first game, The Outer Worlds 2 will give players lots of freedom to make choices, letting you tackle problems your own way and decide which parts of the story to explore.
An Obsidian blog post shares, “As a daring, undeniably good-looking, and questionably competent Earth Directorate agent, you’re tasked with uncovering the source of devastating rifts threatening the entire galaxy.” They continue, “The choice of how to deal with the rifts is up to you. ‘Your worlds, your way,’ as we say at Obsidian.”
The blog reveals more about the game, mentioning a clash between three groups: the Protectorate, some rebellious science-religious folks, and a big corporate power. You get to decide which faction to support or ignore, much like in the first game. Who knows how these choices will unfold? Only time will tell!
The Outer Worlds 2 is set to arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2025.
