A recent interview hinted that Pocketpair might shift Palworld to a live-service model, which did not sit well with many players. However, Pocketpair quickly clarified that there are no plans to make such a change. They did mention that microtransactions could be a possibility in the future.

, Pocketpair explained that the interview was conducted months ago. They emphasized, “the F2P/GaaS approach is not suitable for us,” and assured everyone that they were listening to their players.
“Palworld was never designed with that model in mind,” Pocketpair said, explaining that changing the game now would be too difficult. They added, “Additionally, we are very aware that this just isn’t what our players want, and we always put our players first.”
