Path of Exile 2 has launched in early access, and it is jam-packed with things to do.
Figuring out how long it takes to “finish” the game is a whole different story. If you’re curious about how many hours you’ll need to complete Path of Exile 2, reach its endgame, or check your quest progress, keep reading.
The nature of ARPGs like Path of Exile 2 means you can never truly finish them. After the main campaign, there’s an endgame that can be as long as you want. During early access, you’ll go through three acts before hitting the endgame, but eventually, this will expand to six acts in the full version.
To actually dive into the endgame, players must first conquer the three acts on normal mode, which brings you to level 45. Then, you’ll face the same acts again on Cruel difficulty to finally access the endgame, usually reaching level 65 by then.
Your first run through the acts should take around 25 hours, with another 15 to 20 hours needed for the Cruel difficulty, totaling about 40-50 hours per character. If you switch to another class, expect to invest another 40-50 hours to get to the endgame.
Once you’ve reached the endgame, you can enjoy countless more hours with any character you choose. Although the early access caps levels at 100, attempting to surpass this point might not be worth it for now.
Sometimes, fans just love getting lost in a game world.
Tracking your journey in the main story is easier when you know your current quest. Here’s the list of quests for the initial three acts:

There are more quests in Act 3, but that’s all players have seen up to this point. We’ll add in the quests as they are discovered.
