PC Gamer Steven Spielberg Dislikes Controllers

-

In the ’70s and ’80s, Steven Spielberg changed the movie world forever with hits like Jaws, E.T., and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Max Spielberg, who co-founded FuzzyBot, shared in a MinnMax interview that his dad, Steven, loves gaming and introduced him to it. Max mentioned that his dad is a huge fan of PC games, especially shooters. “He loves gaming, he’s the one that got me into it,” Max said. “He’s a big PC gamer and so that’s kind of our bonding point as well. He’s like, ‘Hey what’s good, what new Call of Duty should I be playing, send me a list of the top five shooters, I’ll get ’em downloaded and we can play ’em together when you come over to the house.'”

Spielberg prefers to play games at home with Max instead of online, which is quite endearing. However, Max has had no luck convincing his dad to try console games; Spielberg is too loyal to his keyboard and mouse setup. “He’s big into story games and I’m always trying to get him to play Uncharted,” Max shared. “You know, it’s Indiana Jones, you’d appreciate this,’ and he’s always ‘I can’t do controllers; I only do keyboard and mouse.'”

We think it’s cool when parents and kids bond over shared interests.

Maybe the new game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, will finally get Spielberg to try a console. It launches for PC and Xbox Series X|S on December 9 and will hit PlayStation 5 next year.
