Microsoft is collaborating with Disney and Lucasfilm on new projects like Marvel’s Blade and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, despite Spider-Man and Wolverine being tied to PlayStation 5.
Phil Spencer shared his excitement about working with Lucasfilm and Disney, mentioning, “I feel great about our partnership with Lucas and Disney,” in an interview with Game File. He appreciated their strong partnership and even visited the team working on Blade.
However, Spencer usually prefers original games over licensed ones because licenses can expire and games might disappear. But he makes exceptions for titles like Indiana Jones because the developer, MachineGames, has a strong passion for it. He said, “The story is, to me, one of the strongest parts of that game–the way you feel like you’re Indiana Jones from a first person perspective.”
Sometimes, we just can’t wait to see our favorite characters in action.
Exciting news: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will hit Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9, but PlayStation 5 users must wait until Spring 2025. Meanwhile, Microsoft is teaming up with IHOP for a special Indiana Jones-themed menu starting November 18. IHOP’s pancake fans can collect “PanCoins” from their receipts, which they can swap for Xbox goodies or exclusive cups featuring Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Halo Infinite, and Sea of Thieves, all crafted by Xbox artist Matt Taylor.
