Sony has announced a special Monster Hunter Wilds-themed PS5 controller and console cover, but they’re only available in Japan.
According to PlayStation Japan’s blog, the limited-edition controller and faceplate will hit the shelves on the same day as the game launch, February 28. You can preorder them starting October 30, but they are sold separately. The controller, in Volcanic Red, boasts the Monster Hunter Forbidden Area Research Team logo on its touchpad, with elegant floral patterns on the handles. Meanwhile, the black console cover is more subtle, featuring the same logo in red at the bottom right corner.
Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on whether these will be available outside of Japan. But wow, they sure look amazing! For those desperate for some Monster Hunter gear, there’s even a $2,000 Monster Hunter Wilds-themed Fender guitar you could check out.
Fans really wish these cool accessories would be available everywhere.
If you’re looking for different PS5 controllers, Sony’s new Chroma collection offers other neat options. The first two controllers from this collection will be up for grabs on November 7, coinciding with the launch of the PS5 Pro.
Don’t forget, Monster Hunter Wilds will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 28, 2024.
