Quiet Place Game: Mic Detection Alerts Aliens

-

In the latest addition to the A Quiet Place universe, Paramount’s new video game, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, continues the saga of sound-sensitive aliens.

Earlier this year, A Quiet Place: Day One reminded us that the extraterrestrial invaders can’t see but have exceptional hearing abilities, threatening the few humans left on Earth. In this upcoming game, players must remain incredibly silent, especially if the mic is on, as even a tiny noise could lead the aliens to them. Saber Interactive and Stormind Games have just released a live-action trailer showcasing the game’s mic detection feature. This setting can be switched off, but for those seeking the ultimate experience, any sound in their environment could spell disaster, much like the unfortunate character in the trailer.

People sometimes find themselves holding their breath in tense moments, don’t they?

The game prioritizes sneaking and avoiding the aliens over direct confrontations. The truth is, Earth belongs to these creatures now, and humans have become a rare sight on their own planet. Once the aliens lock onto a target, escaping becomes a nearly impossible task as they chase survivors with relentless determination. In The Road Ahead, the story introduces us to Alex, a college student trying to make it through the chaos with her boyfriend, Martin. To make matters worse, Alex suffers from asthma, and any trouble with her breathing might just attract the wrong kind of attention.

Get ready for this thrilling adventure on October 17, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
