Randy Orton had to step away from WWE from May 2022 to November 2023 because of an injury.
During this time, he dove deep into Elden Ring, a game by From Software, and spent a lot of time exploring its world. Orton’s back in the ring now, but he’s racked up 600 hours playing Elden Ring.
In an interview with Cody Rhodes for his video series “What Do You Wanna Talk About,” Orton talked about his love for the game. He admitted to teasing Rhodes for being a gamer in the past, but now he’s even more into gaming than Rhodes.
“I f***ing love Elden Ring,” Orton shared. “I was out with spinal fusion surgery, so I had a lot of time on my hands. I got, like, 600 hours on the game… I love that game. DLC just came out.”
Because Cody Rhodes is now a top WWE star, he doesn’t have much free time. This is one reason he hasn’t played Elden Ring yet. But Orton still hopes they can enjoy the game together someday.
“You’re killing it and you don’t got the time, and I understand why,” said Orton. “I would love to chop it up about some Elden Ring with you, trust me. I wish you were a fellow Tarnished, but you’re not.”
Fans really enjoy hearing about their favorite stars’ hobbies.
Orton recently signed a new five-year deal with WWE, which might give him enough money to buy an expensive Elden Ring book coming out soon. Even if he doesn’t get it, it seems like he’s going to keep playing for a long time.
