Rockstar Games just confirmed that Red Dead Redemption and its spooky Undead Nightmare expansion are finally coming to PCs on October 29.
Working hand in hand with Rockstar, Double Eleven is the brain behind bringing this wild western adventure to PC. Expect some cool PC extras like super sharp 4K visuals, screens up to 144hz, and it’ll even play nice with ultrawide monitors. There’s also HDR10 support, and you can use Nvidia DLSS 3.7 or AMD FSR 3.0 for better graphics. It’s pretty neat that you can tweak how far you can see and how the shadows look, among other things.
Preorders? Stay tuned, we’ll get the scoop later this week. You’ll find the game on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Rockstar’s PC shop.
Red Dead Redemption II hit PCs a year after consoles back in 2018, but the original Red Dead was stuck on Xbox 360 and PS3 until now, even though it landed on the Nintendo Switch just a few months ago in August 2023.
Double Eleven, an independent developer, also handled the Switch and PS4 versions of Red Dead Redemption. They’ve got a history of working on games like Grounded, Fallout 76, Rust, and more.

Sometimes, we think it’s really exciting when old games get a new life on different platforms.
Meanwhile, Rockstar is also busy working on the much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, which should hit the shelves by Fall 2025.
