Striking Distance Studios has revealed its new game, Redacted, set in the same universe as The Callisto Protocol.
This time, players will head back to Black Iron Prison, where they must battle mutant prisoners and other survivors trying to escape. The game is launching on October 31 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Described as a roguelike dungeon-crawler with a punk-rock vibe, you’ll play as a security guard stuck in the chaos of the prison. With plenty of weapons and skills at your disposal, you’ll fight and die repeatedly until you master each run.
The developers aim to elevate the roguelike genre by introducing unique elements. One intriguing feature is that when you die, your next run will include fighting your own reanimated corpse from the previous run. This means that the stronger you were before, the tougher your corpse will be, equipped with all your old gear and abilities.
