Riot Unveils Project K: League of Legends TGC

-

Riot Games is gearing up for a big 2025, not just with League of Legends but also with a new trading card game called Project K.

Check out the video below to see how Project K is aiming to attract fans of Magic the Gathering with some similar gameplay elements.

In a cool twist, Project K allows for both one-on-one duels and battles with up to four players, either in teams or all against all. Riot has big dreams, planning to team up with shops for local events and put on epic tournaments worldwide featuring the top players.

It seems Riot hasn’t found the right partner in the US yet for promoting Project K, so they’re starting in China in early 2025. According to Polygon, they hope to launch in America around the same time, but there’s no exact date yet.

You know, fans sometimes feel like they just want more of what they love.

Riot recently talked about fans being upset over Viktor’s new look from Arcane in League of Legends. They’re also changing things up by bringing a seasonal model to League of Legends starting in January 2025. Although Arcane finished its run on Netflix, Riot plans more adaptations. But don’t expect the Russo brothers to be involved, as their live-action movie idea didn’t work out due to creative differences.
