Silent Hill 2’s remake will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive for a year.
A fresh trailer called “Immersion Trailer” reveals different places in the game and explains how the PS5‘s DualSense controller enhances the experience. You can feel the haptic feedback when you attack enemies up close, and the adaptive triggers push back when you fire guns. The light bar on the controller changes colors based on the player’s health. Plus, the 3D audio makes the horror even more intense.
The trailer notes that the game is exclusive to PS5, but there’s a small text at the bottom saying, “Also available on PC. Not available on other formats until 10.8.2025.” So, it will take a year before Silent Hill 2 hits other platforms like Xbox or maybe a new Switch.
Silent Hill 2 releases on October 8 for both PC and PS5. We think the remake will keep the original’s scary vibe and make fans happy while also attracting new players. GameSpot mentioned in their preview, “After spending about three hours with Silent Hill 2 Remake, I feel confident the puzzle-driven horror game will honor the original’s tones and excite old fans while also creating plenty of new ones.”
Fans are super excited about this game!
