As Halloween approaches, EA has revealed a spooky new addition to The Sims 4—an expansion pack called Life & Death.
This isn’t just any update; it lets players become the Grim Reaper, the ultimate job for those who want to decide when other Sims meet their end. But that’s just one part of the fun. The trailer shows off lots of crazy activities, like planning funerals and sorting out wills. It seems this expansion mixes funny moments with some touching ones.
Grim Reaper’s been in the game forever, but now players can wear his cloak and become a Grimstern, making life-and-death choices. They even carry a scythe! If you impress Grim by meeting your “soul quota,” you might become Employee of the Month.
Sometimes, fans just love to see what’s hidden under Grim’s hood, even if it’s pixelated like a shower scene! Besides that, you can try out as a mortician or funeral director in a scary new world called Ravenwood, which has three eerie neighborhoods.
And there’s more! You can get cool clothes and furniture, and even come back to life through reincarnation. With the Soul’s Journey aspiration, Sims can reconnect with loved ones or prank the living. Completing it gives you the “Burning Soul” trait, bringing Sims back from the dead without needing Ambrosia or a Death Flower.
Priced at $40, this pack drops on October 31 for PC and consoles, with a sneak peek coming on October 17. Buy it before December 12 to snag the Mournful Mementos Set, which includes:
- Lasting Legacy Family Portrait
- Mournful Melodies Music Box
- Plumed Elegance Mask
