Sony’s Until Dawn Movie Set for 2025 Release

-

At the start of 2024, Sony Pictures revealed plans to transform the 2015 game Until Dawn into a movie.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, known for his work on the Shazam! films, Until Dawn is set to premiere on April 25, 2025, just before the game hits its ten-year mark. Blair Butler initially worked on the script, but the final version was penned by Gary Dauberman, who also teamed up with Sandberg to produce the film. The original game had stars like Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere, and Brett Dalton playing friends who visit a secluded mountain lodge, only to face terrifying dangers after their friends mysteriously vanished a year earlier. Peter Stormare returns as Dr. Alan J. Hill, hinting the film might stick closely to the game’s story. Other cast members include Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Odessa A’zion, Maia Mitchell, and Belmont Cameli.

Recently, Until Dawn was remade for PS5 and PC, sparking rumors about a sequel. If the film does well, it might inspire a new game and another movie.

Fans are really excited to see how the movie will turn out!
