Starfield 60FPS Update for Xbox Series S & Performance Enhancements

-

Yesterday, everyone was buzzing about the new Rev-8 land vehicle in Starfield, but there was another cool update too.

Bethesda announced on

that Xbox Series X display settings are now available on the Series S, including a 60fps option. The August update for Starfield brought this change along with other visual improvements. At Gamescom Opening Night Live, while the Rev-8 and Shattered Space DLC release dates stole the show, Bethesda sneaked in more goodies for gamers. Now, if you have a VRR display, you can choose from 30fps, 40fps, 60fps, and even uncapped fps options. Even those without VRR can enjoy either 30fps or 60fps on Xbox Series S.

Bethesda also added a feature to let players decide between better visuals or smoother performance to keep the frame rate stable. They suggest going for Performance mode if you want over 60fps, but it’s up to you. Oh, and puddles look nicer now too.

Fans love these kinds of updates!

In June, Starfield’s update brought the Creations menu and some tweaks to bounty boards and melee weapons. GameSpot has all the details on how to get your hands on the new Rev-8 rover in Starfield.
