Thronefall is set to exit Steam Early Access on October 11, marking its full release alongside a debut on Nintendo Switch.
Grizzly Games shared that since its Early Access launch in August 2023, Thronefall has sold nearly 1 million copies on Steam. Plus, the game boasts an Overwhelmingly Positive status with over 14,500 reviews.
With the full release, three new levels—Moorweg, Freifort, and Totend—are added, featuring fresh enemies and boss battles. Now, Thronefall includes 10 levels, and the campaign takes most players 8-12 hours, according to Grizzly Games. This update also introduces new equipment and various quality-of-life improvements.

Thronefall also features a roguelike mode. During the day, players build bases and armies, then face enemy hordes at night. Grizzly notes that players can directly join the battles if they choose. Surviving the night allows players to unlock new weapons and perks.
Before Thronefall, Grizzly Games worked on Superflight and Islanders. Islanders launched on Switch in 2021, alongside Axiom Verge 2, after a Nintendo Indie World stream.
