Suicide Squad Game Updates Ending, Offline Mode Soon

-

Warner Bros. Games shared that the fourth season will be the last one for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and they’re also adding a way to play without being online.

Starting on December 10, Episode 7 kicks off Season 4, wrapping up with Episode 8 by January 14, 2025. The new offline mode means you can enjoy the campaign and seasonal missions even when you’re not connected to the internet. But if you want to work on battle passes, shop in the game, or see leaderboards, you’ll still need to be online.

In their announcement, Warner Bros. Games made it clear they aren’t planning to shut down the game’s online servers, so buying LutherCoin will still be possible after Season 4 ends. This last season introduces Deathstroke, who joins forces with the Suicide Squad to battle Brainiac.

Back in May, the folks at Warner Bros. Discovery mentioned that the game didn’t do as well as they hoped, falling short by $200 million. Still, they plan to focus on their main series, aiming for more live-service, mobile, and free-to-play titles.

Fans often wonder why things didn’t go as planned.

Apparently, Rocksteady Studios is giving minimal attention to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as they shift their efforts to new endeavors, like a director’s cut of Hogwarts Legacy. In our review, we said, “Rocksteady’s first game in nearly a decade can’t shake the superhero-as-a-service genre’s ubiquitous feeling that it exists to keep players mindlessly engaged.”
