“I’m kinda hesitant to spill the beans,” Jason confessed. He’d been snooping around, trying to find who owns the rights to Backyard Football and Baseball. “I’m thinking of buying it. Reviving it. It was epic, wasn’t it?”
Backyard Football hit the scene in 1999, featuring Steve Young on the cover. Fast forward to 2010, and that’s the last we saw of the football series in the Backyard franchise.
But here’s where it gets interesting. Jason’s got this vision. Bringing the game to smartphones. “Imagine, playing Backyard Football on your phone,” he mused to Travis. Travis was all in. The game’s simplicity was its charm.
Ironically, the franchise did venture into smartphones. Backyard Sports: Baseball 2015 and Backyard Sports: Basketball 2015 made their debuts. But football? That’s the untouched dream the Kelce brothers are chasing.
