Oh boy, here we go. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is throwing another character into the mix. They’re calling them “Victims.” Sounds cheery, right?
Meet Virginia. Not just any Virginia, though. She’s special because Barbara Crampton is bringing her to life. Yeah, that Barbara Crampton. The horror legend herself. She’s been scaring us silly in movies for decades. Ever heard of Re-Animator? Or maybe From Beyond? Classics, I tell ya. And she’s not stuck in the past, either. You’re Next and We’re Still Here are proof of that.
So, Barbara Crampton is stepping into the gaming world. Again. She’s no newbie, having voiced a character in Back 4 Blood, that game people called the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead. This time, she’s playing a character named Virginia.
Virginia is not just any character. She’s the second Victim-side DLC character to join the fray, following Danny, who made his debut last year. It’s kinda exciting, isn’t it?
Wes Keltner, the big boss over at Gun Media, can hardly contain himself. He’s over the moon about working with Crampton. “It’s Barbara Crampton!” he says, like that explains everything. Which, to be fair, it kinda does. He praises her talent, her passion, and how effortlessly she brings characters to life. Pixels feeling human? Barbara’s got that down pat.
What can Virginia do, you ask? Well, they’re keeping her abilities under wraps for now. But expect her to have some tricks up her sleeve, with passive and active skills and some kind of ultimate ability that’ll shake things up.
And while we’re all antsy for Virginia to make her grand entrance, there’s a little treat coming our way on February 22. New in-game items, including free skins for Johnny and Sissy. Who doesn’t love freebies?
So, there you have it. Barbara Crampton, horror icon, is about to make a splash in the Texas Chain Saw Massacre game. And something tells me Virginia is going to be unforgettable. Stay tuned, folks. This is gonna be good.
