Amazon and Best Buy are now selling The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Steelbook.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Steelbook
This package isn’t just about the famous 1974 horror film in 4K Blu-ray; it also celebrates the new 2023 multiplayer game. Available for PS5 and Xbox Series X, this release includes the movie in a special steelbook and some neat trading cards from the game. Gary Pullin, who’s made lots of art for scary movies, designed the steelbook’s artwork. You get 13 downloadable content add-ons with it, like two extra characters to play in the game.
It’s kinda funny that Best Buy has this because they stopped selling Blu-rays not too long ago.
For those who only want the film, there’s a simpler option. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 4K Steelbook is available for $33, down from $55, at Amazon. It includes the same movie, just without the fancy extras. However, the 40th Anniversary Black Maria Limited Edition is quite unique. The movie comes in a mini version of the Black Maria truck from the film, with both 4K and 1080p discs. It’s still available, and Amazon’s got it for $70, originally priced at $100.

Fans really seem to enjoy this game, which got a 9/10 in a review praising its map design and gameplay.
“The Texas Chain Saw Massacre plays, looks, and sounds like its team holds the source material in the highest regard,” said Mark Delaney. “Faithfully transposing the film’s signature terror into a modern multiplayer game is a feat on both ends. As one of the year’s scariest and best-designed experiences, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has reset the bar for multiplayer horror games.”
