The Tony Hawk Pro Skater social media pages got a fresh look for the 25th anniversary, sparking lots of talk among fans.
Even though there’s no official announcement, the Tony Hawk Pro Skater accounts on X/Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook all updated their profile pictures to include a new 25th-anniversary logo. Interestingly, all these images are marked with a 2024 copyright, hinting that Activision might have renewed the franchise’s rights. This has led many to believe that a remaster of Pro Skater 3 and 4 could be coming soon (Eurogamer).
The last game released was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, which came out in September 2020. This remake of the original two games included a fun create-a-park feature, online multiplayer, and added new skaters. Vicarious Visions worked on this remake but later merged with Blizzard Albany, known for World of Warcraft and Overwatch. Although they started working on a THPS 3 + 4 remake, it got shelved because Blizzard Albany shifted to support other projects. Fans, we always hope for more skating fun!
Meanwhile, EA is also working on a new Skate game. The Full Circle team showed some cool updates to the “Flick-It” system in June. However, they haven’t shared when the game will come out yet.
