Every year on November 7, BioWare celebrates Mass Effect with N7 Day.
Even though we might have to wait a while for a new Mass Effect game, this year’s celebration has a special treat for fans in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Hidden within the game are three cool items that give a nod to Commander Shepard from the original trilogy:
- Command Helmet
- Paragon of Leadership
- Specter of Battles Past
These items are purely for looks and don’t come with any special powers. Finding them is super easy. Just finish the mission called The Singing Blade in the main story, and you’ll find a chest with the Mass Effect goodies waiting for you next to the Caretaker in the Lighthouse. If you can’t find the chest after completing the mission, try leaving the game and updating it before playing again. The chest should magically appear when you return.
It’s a bummer for those who love Dragon Age because BioWare announced there won’t be any story expansions for The Veilguard. The team is now focusing on crafting the next Mass Effect adventure. But hey, with all the character customization options in The Veilguard, we can expect even more ways to make our heroes look awesome in the upcoming Mass Effect.
Fans sometimes feel like they have to wait forever for new games, but it’s usually worth it in the end.
