Unplayable Crew Leads to Sequel Preservation

-

Ubisoft is bringing offline modes to The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest.

In a recent announcement, Ubisoft shared its plans for the future of these games, confirming that both will be playable offline for years. As stated by Ubisoft Ivory Tower, they are dedicated to ensuring long-term access to these titles: “…Ubisoft Ivory Tower committed to long-term access for both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest, ensuring that both games will be playable for many years to come, including in an offline mode coming in the future,”.

Year 2 for Motorfest kicks off on November 6, starting with Season 5, allowing players to explore Maui’s full map at no cost. This new year includes three Seasons, featuring Made in Japan Volume 2, neon races, events, and cool locations.

A new addition called The Chase Squad brings PvE content to the game, letting players chase down racing rivals across islands. Those who own the Gold and Ultimate Editions will get this feature with the Year 2 pass, plus 20 extra vehicles.

We think it’s great when games offer more ways to play.

The need for offline modes is vital since the original Crew game became unplayable after its servers were shut down in March, even for single-player mode.

The Crew Motorfest launched on September 11, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
