Next month, Sony will release the Until Dawn remake for PC, and they’ve shared more details about its requirements and specs.
The game will have advanced graphics, customization options, and accessibility features, much like other PlayStation Studios games on PC. Supermassive Games made sure the remake works on many different PCs, offering modes from 720p at 30fps with low settings to 4K at 60fps with high settings.
For the simplest settings, you can play the horror game with an Nvidia GeForce 1660 or a Radeon RX 470. If you want smooth 1080p at 60fps, you’ll need a GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6600XT and at least 16GB of RAM. For top-tier 4K at 60fps, Supermassive suggests a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or a Radeon RX 6900XT.

Every graphical setting requires an SSD with 70GB of space, and higher settings need an NVMe SSD. Although it’s quite a bit of space, it’s still less demanding than God of War Ragnarok. With the right hardware, you can enjoy ultrawide monitor support, movie-like aspect ratios, ray-tracing, and both Nvidia DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.1 upscaling and frame-generation.
We can only imagine how thrilling it will be to feel the heartbeat of the characters with full DualSense controller support on PC, thanks to the haptic feedback features.
Launching on October 4 for PS5 and PC, Until Dawn has been remade in Unreal Engine 5, bringing updated characters, settings, props, and effects. The gore is more lifelike too, with “realistic real-time fluids” and better injury visuals.
Horror fans have a lot to look forward to in October, with other releases like the Silent Hill 2 remake, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, and Shadows of the Damned remaster.
