A mysterious update for Vampire Survivors is out now, introducing a “hellish meat-dimension” and a new feature called Darkanas.
These Darkanas, similar to Arcana skills, change gameplay in big ways. Developer Poncle says there are five Darkanas to try, offering abilities like making projectiles explode when you get hurt. The new level, Room 1665, was created from the anger of souls lost in the Bone-Zone and has 16 floors to battle through.
Fans really enjoy these surprise updates; it keeps the game fresh and exciting.
The Darkasso update is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and mobile. It will also be on PS5 and PS4 when they release on August 29. Vampire Survivors, one of GameSpot’s top games of 2022, keeps getting more content and has even collaborated with games like Among Us and Contra.
There’s also a Vampire Survivors animated series being made by Story Kitchen, the company started by John Wick’s Derek Kolstad and Sonic the Hedgehog producer Dmitri Johnson.
