Virtua Fighter 6 Teaser Debuts at Game Awards

-

After almost 20 years since the last installment, Sega has hinted at an exciting continuation with Virtua Fighter 6.

At The Game Awards, a sneak peek was shared, promising more details at a special Virtua Fighter Direct event once the awards wrap up. This time, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, known for Yakuza, will breathe new life into the series on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Back in 1993, the first Virtua Fighter hit arcades and changed the game for 3D fighters, inspiring others like Tekken to follow suit.

In 2006, Virtua Fighter 5 was launched, seeing a few remakes, with the latest being Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown in 2021. Just a month ago, another version named Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. was announced.

We can’t help but wonder how fans will react to the new characters and gameplay.

Hopefully, the Virtua Fighter Direct happening today will reveal when we can dive into Virtua Fighter 6 and which fighters will be part of the action.
