Witcher 3 Ending Restored by Fan Mod

-

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is approaching its tenth anniversary, yet it’s still full of surprises.

MerigoldMariobor, a dedicated fan modder, recently uncovered some hidden dialogue from one of the game’s endings and introduced a mod to bring more closure to Geralt and Ciri’s story. According to IGN, the ending where Geralt gives Ciri a Witcher’s sword originally had more content. In this lost dialogue, Ciri gets to show her feelings about receiving the sword, and then she and Geralt talk about meeting up with either Yen or Triss, depending on Geralt’s romantic choice. The video below shows these restored moments.

The Blood and Wine expansion seemed like the end of Geralt’s story. CD Projekt has confirmed The Witcher 4 is in the works, and it looks like Ciri might be the new main character, as Geralt is expected to have a smaller role. This is still just a guess for now, but it makes sense given the storyline.

Fans are always excited about new games and shows in The Witcher universe.

There’s no release date for The Witcher 4 yet, but the development team grew in late 2023, which means production is speeding up. While waiting, we can look forward to The Witcher Season 4 on TV, with Liam Hemsworth taking over as Geralt, which is set to air in 2025.
