WoW Game Fuel Returns with In-Game Loot

-

World of Warcraft is turning 20, and they’re pulling out all the stops with some cool stuff, including a Mountain Dew Game Fuel promo that promises exclusive in-game goodies for players.

Over the weekend, some images popped up on Reddit showing Game Fuel’s Citrus Blackberry and Citrus Cherry cans featuring famous WoW characters. Thrall and the Lich King grace the Citrus Cherry flavor, while Xal’atath and Alleria Windrunner appear on Citrus Blackberry. Although the promotion hasn’t been officially announced, these images give us a sneak peek.

If you grab certain Mountain Dew drinks, you’ll get points to spend on the Mountain Dew Gaming Rewards marketplace. While there are no WoW items yet, you can snag stuff from other games like Final Fantasy 14 or Elder Scrolls Online for now. Fansite Wowhead hints that two datamined motorcycle mounts, matching the Game Fuel colors and described as “demonically fueled,” might become available soon.

Fans can’t wait for more details about what other rewards might come. Hopefully, Blizzard will spill the beans soon. Back in 2009, they had a similar collaboration with Mountain Dew, offering Citrus Cherry for the Horde and Wild Fruit for the Alliance.

Blizzard is going all out for WoW’s big birthday with more than just a soda tie-in. Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 have introduced WoW-themed skins, and on October 22, a huge update will drop. This update brings back old raids and dungeons and lets players earn revamped Tier 2 raid gear.
